I would like to visit Aveyron and part of south France. Do you have any bungalows or mobile homes for rent ?
Yes, we have mobilhomes and canvas bungalows. You can find all the details here and here
I saw you had a grocery store, what could I find?
We have a very very small grocery where you will find only essential products (salt, sugar, mustard, jam, pasta, ...). It is open only in July / August, the nearest traders are in Saint-Amans-des-Cots (8 km)
I would like to book my holidays for 2025 in Aveyron. Can I already make my reservation?
Reservations for 2025 at Camping La Romiguière are already open. You can book now !
I booked through the internet, but I did not receive any confirmation. Is this normal ?
No, it's not normal! We usually confirm bookings in the half day. Check that the confirmation message is not in your spam box. If you can not find it, call us soon!
I ride at night to avoid traffic jams and heat, can I arrive in the morning?
Your rental or your location must be vacated by previous guests so that you can dispose of it, and we need some time to make any necessary repairs. In the morning, we take care of departures, and the afternoon, arrivals! It is therefore useless to arrive before 13:30.
I would like to avoid traffic jams and I would like to book from Sunday to Sunday, is it possible?
Yes, we can come and go every day of the week, even in high season. You can book the number of days that suits you from 2 or 3 nights (depending on the period). Please refer to "short stay" packages.
I would like to cook with electric griddle, is it possible?
No, our electrical installation is checked every year by an approved control company, but electric planchas and ovens are very powerful appliances and you may have a break
I would like to cook on the barbecue, is it possible?
Yes, gas and charcoal barbecues are allowed, electric barbecues are forbidden, fires on the floor are obviously forbidden.
I would like to come at the end of September with my boat and put it on the dock. Is it possible ?
Yes and no! Generally speaking, the lake drops rapidly from the beginning of September. We cannot therefore guarantee that the pontoon will always be on the water !
Are there any reserves, areas or periods where fishing is prohibited?
Yes and no, you can fish everywhere except at the pontoon to prevent hooks from catching on boats or moorings, and there may be zones or periods where temporary reserves are in place. Better to find out from the fishing federation.
I only have one Visa card, can I pay everything with the campsite?
We accept credit cards, checks, cash, holiday vouchersfor the settlement of your stay at the campsite and Snack / Bar.
I made a reservation and paid a deposit. Should we send the balance?
You will pay the balance when you arrive. Please note that most of our colleagues ask you to pay 30 days before your arrival, not at home!
I would like to book a pitch for my caravan, but I would like to know how the locations are delimited.
All locations are well defined. The boundaries of locations are marked by trees or shrubs, some sites have blackout hedges (which hide other locations).
I visit Aveyron and I need a pitch for my motorhome. Should I book or can I come directly to the campsite?
Except in July or August, you can come directly. Nevertheless, if you want a very specific location or want to come during a very busy period (during the summer or at the Transhumance Festival in late May), it is better to book.
We are 2 adults and 4 children, including a 3 month old baby. Can I rent a Family Mobile-home
Sorry but our "Family Mobil-home" can only accommodate a maximum of 5 people. A baby is a whole person.
I fear the heat in the summer Is there air conditioning in mobile homes?
Really, it's not necessary! Of course, it can be very hot in Aveyron during the summer (hopefully!), but evenings and nights are cool. Don't forget that we're just by the water at 600 meters high!
I would like to visit Aubrac in Aveyron, Laguiole and the Lot valley. Is there a campervan area ?
Yes, of course, campervans are welcome in our campsite. all informations are here
I have a electric wire with big blue european plugs. Can I use the electricity ?
The campsite is equipped with french "normal" plugs. Then you need an adapter.
I have to be reachable on my cell. Can I connect to a cellphone network ?
Bouygues and SFR go very well, for Orange or Free, we have to look for the perfect place (sometimes within a meter). We also receive 4G (Bouygues and SFR), so you only need to use your mobile as a hotspot wifi for internet, broadband, on your tablet or laptop
I absolutely need to check the internet during my stay. Do you have a WIFI access point?
Yes, there is free Wifi access. You can access our WIFI network with your own computer, tablet or laptop on almost the entire campsite. Wi-Fi access is free. Please note that our internet access is very slow, because it is shared by all residents of the campsite, but you will certainly be able to read your e-mails and view web pages. If you need reliable and fast access, plan to bring your own 4G modem (the 4G SFR and Bouygues goes very well here)
Are the canvas bungalows equipped with shower and toilets? ?
Canvas bungalows are tents designed to find the camping spirit, but without the need to install your own equipment. There is no bathroom and you will use the sanitary facilities of the campsite
I saw that the bungalows are planned for 5 people, but we are 6...
In fact, we voluntarily limit the number of people per rental. We prefer that our vacationer take advantage of the space while avoiding any promiscuity as much as possible.
I like to go shopping ; is the city center close to the campsite ?
Aveyron is very wide, Camping la Romiguière is very isolated and the first village is 10 minutes far by car. We come here for nature and calm, not for shopping...
We like to visit historic sites. Are there any around La Romiguière campsite ?
Yes, there are many historic places in Aveyron. For example, the Castle of Vallon, the medieval villages like Estaing or Saint-Comes d'Olt, Castle of Thénières, Castle of Calmont d'Olt... and many more...
